In 1997, Heart Of England Singers were glad to secure as accompanist Margaret Croucher B.Ed, Cert Ed., A.Mus.L.C.M., Cert Mus. Ed, L.T.C.L.
Margaret is a native of Birmingham and met Martin during their grammar school days. She took her degree at Southampton University and held several posts in Birmingham including that of Director of Music at the then Saltley Grammar School where both she and Martin were educated.
Following the beginnings of her career, Margaret married and brought up her family. She is now on the Senior Management Team of a local primary school where she is also the Music Co-ordinator. She is also a Church Organist and occasionally accompanies the West Midlands Police Choir.
