We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Baptist Free Church in Land Lane, Marston Green (A-Z reference 1H 93) where secure parking facilities are available.

Our year runs from September to July, with short breaks for Christmas and Easter.

We have an open door policy to new members, young and not so young, who are always welcome - there are no auditions. All we ask for is a love of singing and choral music, enthusiasm and commitment to our rehearsals and performances. Our musical director, Martin Bates, sets high and stretching musical standards, but also very much believes in keeping the fun in music making. Absolutely anybody has the opportunity to come along to give us a trial.

Our repertoire is broad. Concerts over the last few years have included Bach's "St John Passion", Mozart's "Mass in C Minor", Coleridge-Taylor's "Hiawatha's Wedding Feast", Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" and "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff.In a lighter vein, in July we give several concerts in a local country church where we perform songs from shows such as "Fiddler On The Roof" and "Phantom Of The Opera". The programme might also include Beatles numbers, modern and older rounds as well as sacred music. Moreover, these popular concerts offer the opportunity for choir members to sing their own solo "party pieces".At Christmas time, as well as a major concert (generally with a seasonal theme), usually, we are involved in a number of charitable performances over the festive season.

We seek exchanges with other choirs including regular events with a choir from Horsforth near Leeds and also with a choir from Barsinghausen, near Hannover, Germany.

If you would like to find out more about the choir or would like to join us then please email
